Jordan is strategically located at the crossroads of 3 continents – Asia, Africa and Europe. Hence, there is no surprise that almost every empire that has risen in the Middle East has, at some point in time, conquered the land east of the River Jordan and the Dead Sea which is part of Jordanian state. The empire of Egypt, Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome and Ottoman Turkey, all have left their imprints to current Jordanian state.
The main attraction in Jordan includes the Dead Sea, which is the saltiest body of water and the lowest point on earth, located at the west of Jordan. Petra, a national symbol of Jordan where its geological and elaborate rock-cut architecture makes it an obvious contender for the” Wonders of the World” list. Wadi Rum, also known as The Valley of the Moon, is an unspoiled natural wonder traced by millions of years, sculpted by changing weather conditions and erosion.
