Difficulty: Easy

South Africa, located at the southern tip of Africa, is a paradise for nature lovers. It has a wide range of animal species which could be encountered in National parks, private reserves and sometimes even on the roads! Be prepared to be amazed by the sight of a pride of lions after a kill, meeting a herd of elephants or even watching a rhino moving silently in between thick shrubs. These are some of the attractions in the safari, which provides the opportunity to encounter with the Big Five – lion, elephant, leopard, rhino and buffalo in their natural habitats. The National parks and the private reserves are usually staffed with professional guides or trackers who can locate these animals quickly. Some private reserves can even allow guides to go off-road to have a close up encounter with the Big Fives. This kind of flexibility can be a difference between getting only a glimpse or a memorable close up encounter with these animals.
